Choke Canyon for the week of March 9, 2010

Water Clarity: Stained 
Water Temp:
 54 degrees
Current Level: 211.76 (Conservation Pool: 220.50 ft. msl)

Largemouth Bass:  Fair to 4 lbs. early on chartreuse/white Sumo frogs or green tilapia Norman razor minnows in 2-12 feet or whacky rigged mardi gras 7" Yum Dingers on edge of grass in 15-20 feet and cranking sexy shad ¾ oz. Luhr Jensen Hot Lips Express or sexy shad Norman DD22 over deep structures and on main lake points in 12-25 feet. Good on plain Jane 5” Lake Fork flutter spoons with watermelon candy red 10” Zoom Ole Monster worm trailers in 20-50 feet.

White Bass:  Excellent on KT spoons upriver from the Hwy 99 Bridge and silver Rapala #5 shad raps or live minnows in back of coves in 2-15 feet.

Crappie:  Good on black Curb's crappie jigs tipped with live minnows over brush piles and standing timber upriver in 4-12 feet. 

Channel and Blue Catfish: Fair on Lewis King’s punch bait or Big Marv's cheese bait in 6-20 feet.

Yellow Catfish:  Fair on trotlines baited with perch or cut shad in 10-30 feet.
