Bear Creek Lake: Mississippi River State Park said largemouth bass are moving into shallow areas and biting on spinner baits and buzz baits. Bream are biting well on live crickets. Several 3-pound crappie have been caught this week on live worms. Catfish are picking up late in the afternoon on cut bait. 

Storm Creek Lake: Mississippi River State Park said bream are biting well on crickets. Crappie are good on crickets and worms. Bass are good in coves on spinner baits. Catfish are picking up in the evening on cut bait.

White River: Triangle Sports (870-793-7122) said the water is muddy and high. No fishing report.

Maddox Bay: Maddox Bay Landing (870-462-8317) said the water is stained and high. Catfish are good on trotlines with minnows or slicks. Other species are slow.

Horseshoe Lake: Local angler Clyde Gregory said the water is clear and at normal level. Bream are good, especially on wax worms around piers. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs around piers. Bass are good with white spinners fished in lily pads, stick-ups and around cypress trees. Catfish are good on cut bait and night crawlers on limb lines and yo-yos in cypress trees.
