THE SOUTHERN FISHING REPORT
by Ken Sturdivant
106 Hickory Ridge
Cumming, Georgia 30040

July 30, 2010

JACKSON LAKE IS DOWN 2.6 FEET, CLEAR, 90 DEGREES BY ED CAVENDER.

Bass fishing is slow. The water is clear with some stain in the rivers after heavy rains. We are also on the full moon and this means the fish feed at night. Fish deep structure in or near the main lake, or seek cooler water up the rivers. Target points, bluffs, humps 12' to 15' brush, bridge pilings, and deep docks. Put to use shakey heads, heavy compact jigs, and deep running crankbaits through the day. Hot weather has many fish hunkered down in deep water, suspended, or roaming with shad in open water. Early in the day, throw a Rico or other top water bait on the deep sea walls or at open water opportunities. New web site www.gafishing.org.

Ken Sturdivant, Lowrance Professional Fishing Staff will be conducting FREE! Sonar Seminars at Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World in Lawrenceville Georgia. The “BASICS OF SONAR” seminars are on the last Saturday of every month and all seminars start at 2pm. All seminars are subject to change without notice.
