LAKE GEORGE/EUFAULA IS FULL AND 77 DEGREES & STAINED UP NORTH AND CLEAR DOWN SOUTH BY CLAYTON BATTS

Bass fishing is good. The water temperature is staying pretty stable with the weather. The shallow water bite has been the deal with the cooler water temperatures. The best bite has been shallow but there is also some action on main lake ledges and creek ledges. There are many different options if you decide to fish shallow with the main key being covering water until you find the bait and fish with a variety of baits depending on the weather and what kind of cover you are fishing. The best big fish pattern has been throwing a Big Bite Baits Top Toad in green pumpkin pearl, a Natural Red Spro popping frog all day on the North end of the lake around Cowikee Creek and the River Bend area in the pad fields and isolated grass beds. When the wind gets up throw a white and chartreuse Picasso spinnerbait on wind blown grass points. The frog bite and spinnerbait bite has been great until blue bird skies appear and the best option becomes flipping a Big Bite Baits Fighting Frog in black blue around pads and in the mats that are at the mouths of pockets. If the spinnerbait bite disappears and there is no wind throw a Rick Clunn Lucky Craft RC1.5 in chart root beer. If you decide to go out and fish the ledges use your Lowrance electronics and find the bait starting with the ledges that lead back into the larger creeks to find out where the bait is. If there is no bait, there will be no fish. Search the ledges with a Spro Little John DD in nasty shad or Citrus Shad on 10 pound GAMMA Fluorocarbon. The weight transfer lets you cast it a mile which is important in the recent wind that we have been having. When you catch a fish get back in there as soon as possible because they will be grouped up. If the fish stop biting the crank bait change up a little and throw a silver flutter spoon or a Spro bucktail jig in white or white and chartreuse. To get the line go to www.gammafishing.com
