LAKE SEMINOLE IS DOWN .6 FEET, STAINED, 90 DEGREES BY MATT BATY (229) 726-0153 bassinboot@yahoo.com

Bass fishing is fair and there is a pretty good top water bite going on early in the morning. Fish any topped-out grass beds that are visible on the main lake. Throw a Big Bite Baits 3.5 Top Toad in June bug-Chartreuse Swirl. Swim the frog over the grass mats and in the holes. If you miss a strike, have a back up rod with a Big Bite Baits 6 Jerk Minnow in shad color. This is an awesome 1-2 punch for early morning bass on Seminole right now. Once the sun gets up, then head to deeper grass lines on the main lake or Spring Creek. Fish Texas rigged Big Bite Baits 6 or 10 Kriet Tail Worms in Tilapia color. Use a ¼ and 5/16 Tungsten Lead and fluorocarbon line. One other pattern that is emerging is flipping up the rivers. Use a 4 Big Bite Baits Fighting Frog in blue fleck on a 1 ounce . Tungsten lead. Find any shallow cover on the rivers that are closest to the main river channel and flip it. Rods to use: The best rod I've seen for both the frog and the worm is a Dobyns Champion Extreme 744c. For flipping, I use a Dobyns Champion 805FLIP. This is an 8 foot rod magnum heavy action that is light and powerful. Be sure to go to www.dobynsrods.com to check them out.
