November 5, 2008

Arcadia: Oct. 31. Blue and Channel catfish are being caught at 22-24 ft. on minnows treaded on a hook like a worm.  Report submitted by Lawrence Wise, angler.

Draper: Nov. 3.  Elevation normal, water clear. All fishing slow. Report submitted by Tony Woodruff, game warden stationed in Cleveland County.

Hefner: November 3. Elevation normal, water 58. Channel catfish good on grasshoppers and crickets at the dam. Report submitted by Tim Campbell, game warden stationed in Oklahoma County.

Hefner: November 3. Largemouth bass good on spinnerbaits. Crappie good on minnows. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by David Clay, game warden stationed in Oklahoman and Canadian Counties.

Overholser: November 3. White bass good on small white spinnerbaits. Channel catfish good on chicken liver. Crappie good on minnows. Report submitted by David Clay, game warden stationed in Oklahoma and Canadian Counties.

Thunderbird: Nov. 3. Elevation 1/2 ft below normal and clear. White bass good off humps and points on in-line spinners, jigs and medium-diving crankbaits. Crappie good on minnows on minnows and small jigs on brush at 8-10 ft. All else slow. Report submitted by Tony Woodruff, game warden stationed in Cleveland County.

Wes Watkins: November 3. Elevation 1 1/2 ft. below normal, water 61-68 and murky, some clearing in the west end of the lake. Catfish fair to good on chicken livers, shad, fresh cut bait, minnows, worms and bait shrimp. Crappie fair on jigs and minnows around the tower at the dam area, around structure, brush piles, boat ramps and docks. Largemouth bass fair on assorted soft plastics around points and timber areas, some action around weed beds and grassy areas; north creek area reporting some activity. Report submitted by M.
