January 13, 2010

Altus-Lugert: January 10. Elevation 20 3/4 ft. below normal and rising slowly. No fishing reported, heavy ice along entire shoreline. Report submitted by Sue Hokanson, Quartz Mountain State Park.

Ellsworth: January 10. Elevation normal. Crappie good on jigs and minnows at Ralph’s Resort around boathouses. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by Mike Carroll, game warden stationed in Comanche County.

Foss: January 12. Elevation 1 1/2 ft. below normal and gates closed, water 40s and most surface water frozen around shoreline. Striped bass hybrids slow. Walleye slow. Crappie fair around enclosed fish house. Catfish slow. Fishing report submitted by Eric Puyear, B & K Bait House.

Ft. Cobb: No report submitted this week.

Lawtonka: January 10. All fishing slow. Report submitted by Mike Carroll, game warden stationed in Comanche County.

Tom Steed: January 5. Crappie fair on minnows at 20-25 ft. over brush piles near the dam. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by David Smith, game warden stationed in Kiowa County.
