James
and John from Richmond, Virginia came down to escape the cold
weather and to try a little peacock bass fishin'. James used
to live down here so he was familiar with the bad boys from Brazil.
We were fishing with live shiners. It was decent in the
morning with James having a couple of big fish snapping him off
by the boat. The bite slowed for a while after that but in the
later afternoon the peacocks woke up from their nap and
started eating again. We ran into some nice fish with the grande
peacock being this 5.6 lb. trophy that you see John holding here.
