Kicker Fish Bait Company innovative baits offer the angler new choices and tactics when it comes to bass fishing. Local angler Steve Campo, a Kicker Fish Bait Company team member, demonstrated the assorted techniques and baits on a recent trip to a local hotspot. With versatility and effectiveness of the product line, Steve showed the fish catching power of the lures and their techniques.

The morning started with a lesson on wacky worms. The unique design of the Kicker Fish Bait's Wacky Worm makes the lure weedless, decreases sling-offs, and reduces hang-ups. Exposed hooks or wire weed guards tend to hang up in heavy cover. The extra section of plastic makes rigging the bait in a weedless fashion easy. Pitching in heavy cover is not a problem because the worm performs like a regular Texas rigged worm. Steve displayed several longs cast with the rigged worm.

This bait does not come off the hook when you make a long cast, explains Steve, an Astra Zeneca Sales Representative. You can skip it under docks or make long cast without fear of the bait coming off.

After landing several bass on the wacky worm, Steve switched to the Bird Dawg™. As a creature bait, it functions equally satisfactory on a Texas rig, Carolina rig, or as a jig trailer. Whether the lure fell into heavy cover or bounced into grass, it was the day top producer. The action improved when the Texas rigged Bird Dawg hit the water. Several nice bass and a dozen or so keeper fell prey to the Bird Dawg. The lure resembles a crawfish and comes in a variety of colors.

The last bait Steve presented was a Shad Stick. A cross between a soft jerk bait and stick worm, the Shad Stick has a seductive fall and great darting action. From Carolina rigs to weightless, the Shad Stick covers the complete water column.

The day of fishing produced numerous fish on the wacky worm. The Bird Dawg on a Texas rig caught most of the fish. Overall, the Kicker Fish Bait Company has a great line of products. The design of the wacky worm was easy to fish, stayed on the hook, and caught fish. The Bird Dawg is a great substitute for any worm or lizard.
